Co-authors Katrina Covington Whitmore and Betty Lipscomb Walker drew inspiration from Betty's experiences growing up in the segregated South to craft this poignant tale, enriched by Katrina's imaginative storytelling. Both authors currently reside in Metropolitan Atlanta.
